The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:

ClimateGrid GmbH Donaustraße 1 89275 Elchingen Germany

Managing Directors: Dr. Fabian Lenz, Theo Schütz Email: info@climategrid.de Phone: +49 731 17 66 26 90

2. Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Windcloud. The servers are located in a data centre in Germany; no processing takes place outside the European Union.

When you access the website, the web server automatically records access data in log files: the URL requested, the date and time of access, the volume of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and your IP address.

This processing is necessary to deliver the website and to secure its operation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the stable and secure operation of the site. Log files are deleted after no more than 30 days.

3. Analytics (LiteAnalytics)

We use LiteAnalytics to understand how this website is used. LiteAnalytics operates without cookies and without cross-device recognition; no profiles of individual visitors are created.

The metrics collected are aggregate: pages viewed, referrer, approximate region of origin, and browser and device type. This data is not combined with any other data source.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to evaluate the reach and technical function of our website in a privacy-preserving way. Because no cookies are set and no device information beyond what is technically necessary is accessed, no consent under Section 25 TDDDG is required.

4. Fonts

The fonts used on this website (Inter, JetBrains Mono) are served exclusively from our own server. No connection is made to Google Fonts or any other external content delivery network, and your IP address is not transmitted to any third party for this purpose.

5. Contacting us

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (in particular your email address, name and the content of your message) in order to respond to your enquiry.

The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for enquiries relating to a contract or pre-contractual steps, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once your enquiry has been dealt with conclusively, unless statutory retention obligations apply.

6. External links

This website links to external sites, including osapiens.com. When you follow such a link you leave our website; the respective provider alone is responsible for any data processing on the destination site. Simply loading our website does not retrieve any data from those sites.

7. Recipients and transfers to third countries

Your data is shared only where necessary for the purposes described above — in particular with our hosting provider and our analytics provider, in each case on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR.

We do not intend to transfer data to third countries outside the EU/EEA. Should such a transfer become necessary in an individual case, it will take place only on the basis of appropriate safeguards under Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

8. Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information about the data we process about you (Art. 15 GDPR), to have it corrected (Art. 16 GDPR), erased (Art. 17 GDPR) or restricted (Art. 18 GDPR), and to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR).

Where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to that processing under Art. 21 GDPR. Any consent you have given may be withdrawn at any time with effect for the future.

To exercise your rights, an email to info@climategrid.de is sufficient.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for us is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

9. Changes to this policy

We update this privacy policy when changes to our website or to the legal situation make it necessary. The version published here is the one that applies.
